since 2015

The founders

In 2015, Rederij Nassau was founded by three friends living in Amsterdam. What began as spontaneous boat cruises on their own sloop soon grew into something much bigger. The demand for unique boat cruises continued to grow, so they soon added a second boat and expanded the team. It was time for an official name, and so Rederij Nassau was born, named after the dock where their first sloop was always located.

Today, the company is still being operated by two of the original founders, Cyriel and Rob. They are not the types who watch from the sidelines. They are committed employers who are actively committed to the growth and success of the company. They manage the team, coordinate operations on a daily basis and are still regularly found on board themselves. Their personal approach and passion for the business ensure that each cruise has the distinctive Nassau touch.

Now, nearly a decade later, their love of the water and the city continues to drive everything Rederij Nassau does. It is that dedication that makes Rederij Nassau so unique.

The Office team:

Behind the scenes, everything is up to full speed thanks to our fantastic office team: Sophia, Stascha, Fleur and Dewi. These four power women keep everything running, from managing bookings and requests to answering every imaginable question from our guests. They arrange everything to make each cruise perfect, down to the smallest details. Whether you have a question about catering, the itinerary or specific requests, they are on standby all week to help you.

Together with Cyriel and Rob they are based at our brand new office at the Hoogte Kadijk. From there, everything is taken care of so that the only thing our guests have to do is to enjoy their time on the water.

The harbor team:

Our harbor and sailing team consists of a great group of captains and hostesses: Jewel, Beau, Isobel, Nora, Ramon and Kas. This solid group not only ensures flawless cruises, but is also responsible for the maintenance of our boats and everything related to hospitality. Whether it’s technical maintenance, hospitality training, or organizing the perfect drinks on board to perfection, they do it all with the same dedication. We also have a fantastic team of more than 40 permanent freelancers, many of whom have been involved with Rederij Nassau for years. These captains, hosts and hostesses work passionately on every trip and ensure that our guests have a great experience on the water time after time.
